The Spanish representative at Eurovision 2010 does not rule out trying again in the future

Daniel Diges, Spanish representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, lands next Monday, July 18, at the Teatro Lope de Vega in Madrid's Gran Vía with the show Poker de Voces. He is joined by David Ordinas, Gerónimo Rauch and Ignasi Vidal, the greatest voices of the musicals in Spain.

Diges has already filled twice the Teatro Häagen-Dazs with this show. "It was something that came between colleagues. One day I got together with David Ordinas and proposed to him that we do something. I already have a second album with Warner signed, and besides singing alone, why not do something with them too. I admire them greatly because they are the best voices out there right now in Spain, and have starred in musicals like the Phantom of the Opera and Jesus Christ Superstar," Diges points for eurovision-spain.com.

R.G.OTERO
Four of the protagonists of Los Miserables have became "independent" in order to offer a "scripted concert" in which they are passing through, above all, the themes of the musical theatre. After a successful premiere, Póker de voces will be performed for the second time.

Forged on television and in musicals, have been on Eurovision, recorded a disc and he even dares to produce his own shows. You can see him as a rebel Enjolras in the mythic play Los Miserables.

HE SAYS YES TO:
  • A concert of Robbie Williams.
  • The last book of Paulo Coelho or Jorge Bucay.
  • A Tom Hanks or Julia Roberts movie.
  • To eat in a japanese restaurant.
  • The discs of Álex Ubago, Queen and Elton John.
  • Go back in time to the Mozart’s Vienna.

Digital Encounter on elEconomista

You can find this encounter here.

DANIEL DIGES
The actor and singer will talk about the musical "Los Miserables" and the next edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.

#1 Hi Dani! I’m Elsa, from Madrid. First I want to give you my congratulations for all of your successes and I wish you many more. Well, my question is next: what part of the musical is your favorite? Which part do you like the most and which the least? A big kiss!
'ABC café' is my favorite. And the one that I like the least is the final part, where they all dance a waltz and I play the waiter. But I like the whole play very much.

The protagonists of Los Miserables are living their dream

This is an interview that TodoMusicales made with all the protagonists of the Los Miserables on October, 15th 2010. I will here translate only what Dani said, you can find the whole interview here.

We talked to Gerónimo Rauch, Ignasi Vidal, Virginia Carmona, Daniel Diges, Talía del Val, Lydia Fairen and David Ordinas about their participation in Los Miserables, which opens November 18th at the Teatro Lope de Vega de Madrid.

"I have always asked Magi for instruments"

This is an interview made by Pedro Ángel Sánchez for Kiss FM, on January 3rd 2011. You can find the interview here.

He has had to spend the whole Christmas season working. And, since nearly two months ago, the Theatre Lope de Vega raised its curtain with Los Miserables, hardly there was a day that they didn’t have to hang the sign "No more tickets." A success that confirms to Daniel Diges that 2010 was "his year." He represented us at Eurovision, recorded his first album, did a little tour around the country... and now he returns to that what is "his home", as he puts it, the musicals. With him, about his Christmas and about what did he ask this year from the Magi, we are chatting this week with an artist who is every day more and more admired in our country.

"I have a dream of making a musical movie, something that Spain is lacking"

This is the interview of La Gaceta, made on January, 27th 2011. You have the interview here.

Daniel Diges, actor and singer, was the last Spanish representative at the Eurovision. Now, he dazzles the audience in Madrid in Los Miserables.

"I want to be given the roles of bad guys"

The interview from the magazine in El Mundo, from November, 5th 2010. You can find this interview here, on the page 40.

"I want to be given the roles of bad guys"

The Eurovision singer plays a "miserable" revolutionary

Before half of Spain humed that algo pequeñito ou ou uooo, Daniel Diges (Madrid, 1981) had already played in teen series (Nada es para siempre), participated in a lot of commercials and starred in some of the most successful musicals of recent times (Mamma Mia!, Hoy no me puedo levantar, High School Musical ...). Now he's going back to his natural ambient, the scene, giving life to Enjolras, a passionate revolutionary who is willing to do anything to fight for his ideals.

Interview with Gato

(This is an old interview, made I believe back in 2002. You can find this interview here.)

This is Gato:

Sexy, sassy and funny. He is the inseparable companion of Adrian, accepted by his family as another son. He is the terror of the high school girls, a born flirt, though his love flings don't always end well. He has numerous admirers but he prefers to face the difficult challenges and chase more inaccessible girls. He is very intelligent and fearless, but so vague that his books only serve to fill his backpack.

How to participate?

Obviously I didn't do all these translations by myself, I have great and invaluable help of my "pequeñitos"... We are doing all that we can do, but even more can be done... If you have found some intereseting article that you'd like to see translated, tell me about it. About the translations of the songs, if your language is not among the listed, you can translate the song yourself and send it to me, and I'll post it... (send message here)
Or if you have some other suggestion that you think might be a good idea, don't hesitate to tell it. That's why exists that field to leave the comment ;o)
And the most important of all, english is not my first language, I'm not going to pretend that I know it perfectly.... So, whenever you notice some mistake or mistranslation (my spanish is even worse!), please do tell!
Every input will be evaluated carefully, I can assure you of that.
Help me in achieving my goal, making Daniel Diges an international star!
Thanks!!!

Aida

Momentos de Navidad

Alejandra

Alejandra     (Spanish)

Recuerdo y miro a mi alrededor
no cambio nada
agradezco
que la vida me ha dado
a alguien como tú.

Secuestro el silencio
que me invade al penetrar
en tu mirada
me envuelvo en los momentos
y deseo siempre estar
muy cerca de ti
contigo hasta morir.
