After the welcome they got on April 25, Daniel Diges, David Ordinas, Gerónimo Rauch and Ignasi Vidal unite again their voices in a second concert at the Teatro Häagen-Dazs in Madrid on Monday May 23, 2011.

The public has been left wanting more. So they will repeat. On May 23, returns to the scene the "Poker voices" formed by Daniel Diges, David Ordinas, Gerónimo Rauch and Ignasi Vidal, who also form part of the cast of Los Miserables at the Teatro Lope de Vega in Madrid.

Directed by Zenón Recalde and with musical direction of César Belda, show POKER DE VOCES premiered at the Teatro Häagen-Dazs in Madrid on Monday April 25. "The first concert was a success, we didn’t expect that", his protagonists say. "People saw what was expected, four singers of musicals performing various themes, but they also saw what was not expected and that's what we wanted. We surprised the public by humor, monologues, dance, funny scenes and telling stories about ourselves," David Ordinas says. "The stories of our careers that have marked us the most for good and for bad," Daniel Diges added. "Well, I have more bad than good," Gerónimo says between laughs, "but I told one only so that people wouldn’t say poor man, he had it so bad."

So, either individually or in group, the four actors performed on stage great hits of musicals like BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, LOS MISERABLES, WE WILL ROCK YOU, HOY NO ME PUEDO LEVANTAR, JEKYLL AND HYDE and MAMMA MIA!, among others, as well as pop and rock numbers of today and of the past. Always in some funny way, casual and with various surprises.

And if someone comes back to Teatro Häagen-Dazs, are they going to find some news? "Overall the text has been revised because we had Zenón (Recalde) there, our director, to record everything that has worked and all that did not. Also some new numbers have been added..." David answered.

Everyone is very excited about this project, with which they intend, as Daniel explains, "to create a brand, to open the door to other actors of musicals. We already have thought about several people or artists as a guests in the case that one of us is missing, to make it an open product where people can come in and out of. "

They are also very proud of the reception given to the show. "That shows us that we must acknowledge what the musical in Spain has generated: a small name in the atmosphere and a few of loyal followers who like our work, something that before didn’t happen in this country," said Ignasi. Geronimo surprised still remembers the day of the concert: "It was weird because we're used to people not applauding us, nor shout nor giving us ovations until the end of the musical, but here it was different. The reaction was immediate, very much alive, after each number or intervention. There had been much connection with the public."

But the work to get here has been tough. Many months of work and rehearsals to prepare POKER DE VOCES. "We knew we wanted to sing songs that have marked our careers so that more or less we had solos clear. Where we needed to stay more was to decide the group songs," says David to what Ignasi adds "We had many ideas, sometimes excessive and disordered. Luckily there were Zenón and César (Belda) - musical director - who focused it all." "As a group we wanted to sing opera in our own way or get into the female segment. To sing songs that are only performed by women," concludes Gerónimo.

And in this poker of voices who is the club, the spade, the heart and the diamond? "That we have yet to discuss a little, eh," David answered with a laugh. Joking aside, it is clear that each of them brings a personal touch to the set. "We are all very different, unique and unrepeatable and even though we have a passion that unites us, artistically our voices are not alike at all," said Geronimo. "We got together because we get along and because we liked our voices and when we started rehearsing, we realized that from the most serious to the sharpest we form a scale," says Daniel.

It seems like the perfect union, but when asked about the idea of forming a musical group they all say "no" without hesitation. "We all have individual careers and being together breaks that possibility," qualifies Daniel. With the group or without it, what is clear is that POKER DE VOCES will keep gaining attention.
