"Theater is better than cinema or television"

This is an interview from the magazine Sálvalo, February 1st

"Theater is better than cinema or television"

Daniel Diges is starring in the new version of Los Miserables together with Gerónimo Rauch, Ignasi Vidal y Virginia Carmona among the others.

We were in Teatro Lope de Vega where is being shown the mythical musical Los Miserables, based on the novela of Victor Hugo. There we interviewed Daniel Diges, who interprets the role of Enjolras.

Sálvame: This is your seventh musical and you have been given the rewards, but what do you discover in this genre?
D: It is better than cinema or television. Here you find a mix of heat of the audience and singing and acting. All three elements are joined and that's what is the best.

S: What do you think is that Los Miserables owe their success to?
D: This show has a very good cast. Besides, it is said that it is the best musical in the world, that has spend many years on Broadway. It is loved because it has special efects that have never been seen in Madrid. The production costed 4 milions of euros.

S: And what about the experience with Eurovision?
D: Very positive. We had a great time and we have met a lot of people. This year I will go to the galas as a reporter.

S: Are you afraid that you'll be stereotyped?
D. Of course not. We treat the Eurovision the worst of whole Europe, although it is a great festival of world significance. I am a composer, now I'm going to produce the show Poker de Voces, which will be presented on 25th of April in the Calderón and I am preparing my second disc.

S: What does Daniel Diges do when he is not acting ?
D: I go to the gym, I pick up my son from school. A normal life...
