- When Los Miserables came to your hands, did you get a spin in the stomach?

I felt the rising of my self-esteem. I had read the novel of Victor Hugo in the high school and my character, which wasn’t the one I was dreaming about at first, slowly conquered me. It made me lose a lot of fears.

- What about you, do you have a revolutionary spirit?

I know to persuade and I have that rebellious side of not settling down with something I don’t like. If you stand up to something, you can change things.

- What do you do before the curtain rises?

I listen to opera, I do reiki, I caress my lapis lazuli stone...

- What is your secret dream?

To do a musical movie like Fama, to sing with Ainhoa Arteta or Alejandro Sanz, to travel to New York with my girlfriend and my son Galileo....

- If you need to disconnect...

I escape to the countryside and retrieve my silence. My favorite landscape? The forests of Guadalajara.

Er schmiedete seine Karriere beim Fernsehen und in Musicals, durchlief Eurovision, hat eine CD aufgenommen und traut sich zu, eigene Shows zu produzieren. Du kannst ihn als den Rebellen Enjolras bei der berühmten Darbietung Los Miserables sehen.

• meine Show „Póquer de voces“ (am 25. April im Theater Häagen Dazs in Madrid) sehen.

- Als du „Los Miserables“ bekommen hast, ist dir da nicht das Herz stehengeblieben? [etwas freier übersetzt]

Das war ein Schub für mein Selbstbewusstsein. Ich hatte das Werk von Victor Hugo im Gymnasium gelesen und meine Rolle, die nicht die Rolle war, die ich mir anfangs erträumt hatte, hat mich langsam erobert. Durch sie habe ich viele Ängste verloren.  

- Und steckt in dir ein Revolutionär?

Ich kann überzeugen und habe diesen rebellischen Aspekt, dass ich mich nämlich mit dem, was mir nicht gefällt, nicht abfinde. Wenn man hartnäckig ist, können sich die Dinge ändern.

- Was machst du bevor der Vorhang aufgeht?

Ich höre Opern, mache Reiki, streichle meinen Lapislazulistein…

- Was ist dein geheimer Traum?

Einen Musicalfilm wie „Fama“ zu machen, mit Ainhoa Arteta oder Alejandro Sanz zu singen, mit meiner Freundin und meinem Sohn Galileo nach New York zu reisen…

- Wenn du abschalten musst…

Fahre ich aufs Land raus und komme wieder zur Ruhe. Meine Lieblingslandschaft? Die Wälder von Guadalajara.

Forjado en televisión y en musicales, pasó por Eurovisión, ha grabado un disco y se atreve a producir espectáculos propios. Puedes verle como el rebelde Enjolras en un espectáculo mítico Los Miserables.

- Cuando Los Miserables llega a tus manos ¿no te da un vuelco el estómago?

Sentí un subidón de autoestima. Había leído la obra de Victor Hugo en el instituto y mi personaje, que no era el que soñé en un principio, me conquistó lentamente. Me ha hecho perder muchos miedos.

- Y tú ¿tienes alma de revolucionario?

Sé convencer y tengo ese punto rebelde de no conformarme con lo que no me gusta. Si te empeñas, las cosas pueden cambiar.

- ¿Qué haces antes de que suba el telón?

Escucho ópera, hago reiki, acaricio mi piedra de lapislázuli...

- ¿Cuál es tu sueño secreto?

Hacer una película musical tipo Fama, cantar con Ainhoa Arteta o Alejandro Sanz, viajar a Nueva York con mi chica y mi hijo Galileo....

Me escapo al campo y recupero mis silencios. ¿Mi paisaje favorito? Los bosques de Guadalajara.
